Oh, Clody. You stole my heart. And I'm far from the only one. You and those eyes of yours...that confident way you stride through a room...and the way you kiss our legs, weaving around them with your affectionate rub.

Sometimes someone comes along in your life and leaves an indelible mark. Clody does that in many ways - with anyone fortunate enough to get to know him.

Getting the Full Clody treatment

Once braving the elements, enemies, and uncertainties of the outdoor world, Clody is smart enough to recognize a good thing when he has it. When he was offered regular meals by one of our rescue's volunteers, he didn't miss a one - eventually showing up beforehand to wait for dinner to be served.

When he realized she must be trustworthy, he'd greet her each day weaving in and out around her legs - his signature gesture. And when he became sick...he went to her, then let her take him into her house. He allowed her to tend to him, restoring him to brilliant health.

Clody never once tried to leave the house, even when he was all better. This smart boy understood life inside was much easier, comfier, and safer!

You would never refer to Clody as a lap cat. I suspect that if you mentioned it to him, he'd tell you he was too manly for such a thing. Clody does love to be petted and to keep you company. He lives in his foster home with other cats, and lords over them just like a guy who's in charge. He'd probably revel in being the only one, no vying for your attention!

Clody is such an awesome cat, he inspired one of the Fortunate Humans (who was graced with getting to know him) to write and produce a song in his honor. Something Cold Bones had never done before, or since. The song is included above for your own inspiration.

If a calm, confident, intelligent, grateful cat strikes your fancy - you just can't find one better than Clody-Ody-Ody-Oh! And yes, we call him that or sing it to him quite often!
