Do you celebrate Cinco de Mayo? Heck, we can make a whole weekend of it this year - what fun! Everyone loves to get in on this celebration. So in honor of the occasion, we present Amiga.
Only a mere baby when she was rescued by an AHF volunteer, she is not a feral cat even though she came from the outdoors. If cats are rescued within the first couple months of their lives, they are able to be socialized to live with other cats and within domestic situations. Amiga is now about to celebrate her first birthday this month!
This weekend, PetSmart will be holding one of its adoptathons, the National Adoption Weekend - all weekend long rescues will be showcasing some of the wonderful dogs and cats they have available for adoption. If you've been thinking of adopting, now's a great time! And if you won't, you can still help homeless animals. Volunteer your time or talent, donate funds or needed supplies. The need is great.
We want all dogs and cats to have a home of their own. Amiga says, spread the word - ADOPT, don't shop! Ole!!
And if you're interested in meeting Amiga, she's litter box trained, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped, and waiting at Almost Home Foundation - all ready to head to her forever home!
