It's snowin' here right now. Peep has caterwauling practice tonight. Wonder if it will be cancelled. Hope she doesn't practice her caterwauling at home! purrs
From our weatherman, Tom Skilling's Facebook post: We tie yet another record Thursday as the historic lack of snowfall continues here today. Ironically, this comes on a day which has seen abnormal snowfall whiten sections of the Deep South in Mississippi and portions of Alabama. Here in Chicago, today marks the 114th anniversary of the latest 1" or greater snow---at least, up until now. It occurred in 1899. We've had 5 days of measurable snow all snow season to date, and with NO snow in the forecast in coming days, we're on our way to breaking that record in what is already the least snowy season in 129 years of official snow observations here.
